The project commenced with project management, ensuring the efficient coordination of various tasks involved in the landscape design and installation. The team worked closely with the resort management to understand their vision, requirements, and the specific challenges posed by the location.

Landscape design was a key aspect of the project. The team carefully assessed the site’s conditions, taking into account factors such as the proximity to the Mathioya River, sunlight exposure, and the growing shade caused by mature trees. A suitable design was developed to optimize the space and create an inviting environment.

The installation of a lawn was a primary focus of the project. The team prepared the area by clearing any existing vegetation, leveling the ground, and improving the soil quality. The selection of appropriate grass species that thrive in shade conditions was crucial to ensure the successful establishment of the lawn.

To address the bare spaces under mature trees, shade-loving grass was reinstalled. These areas were carefully prepared, and the shade-tolerant grass varieties were planted to create a uniform and lush appearance even in shaded areas. This enhanced the overall aesthetics and functionality of the landscape.

Considering the issue of soil erosion in Muranga, Kenya, the project incorporated the planting of correct ground covers. These ground covers were carefully chosen for their ability to stabilize the soil, minimize erosion, and provide an attractive ground layer. These plants were strategically placed to create a protective cover for the soil, preventing erosion caused by wind or water runoff.
