The project commenced with a thorough assessment of the property, taking into consideration the water issue and its impact on the landscape. The design phase focused on creating effective drainage solutions while optimizing the aesthetics and functionality of the outdoor space.

To mitigate the water problem, a French drain system was installed. This involved excavating trenches and laying perforated pipes filled with gravel. The French drain system effectively collected the excess water and channeled it away from the property, directing it towards a nearby drain for proper drainage and disposal.

A short retaining wall was constructed to further enhance the drainage system and prevent soil erosion. This wall provided structural support and stability, ensuring that the raised ground level and the lawn above it remained intact.

The ground was then raised and leveled to create a proper foundation for the subsequent lawn installation and walkway construction. This process ensured improved water drainage and prevented future waterlogging issues.

With the drainage solutions in place, the project proceeded with the installation of a lawn and walkway. The selection of suitable grass species was made based on factors such as the property’s location, sunlight exposure, and the desired aesthetic. The lawn was carefully prepared with proper soil amendment, leveling, and fertilization to support healthy grass growth.

The walkway was designed and constructed to provide functional access and enhance the overall design of the outdoor space. It was built on top of the nearby drain, utilizing appropriate materials that could withstand foot traffic and complement the surrounding landscape.
